As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ´
“Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.
“O’ God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O’ Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O’ God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.” That’s what the Word says in Psalm 108:1-6.
Greetings in the Name of our Lord, Jesus. Yes, it has been quite some time that I have been away. Well, not so much away but not able to enjoy the fellowship among my Brethren in posting. Enough said of that, I thank you for your prays and concern for my and the families well being. Let us move on in this walk hand in hand as God may increase our time together.
Calvary is the hill whereupon our eyes must stay fixed. Although the work has been finished and Jesus is no longer on the cross or in the grave, this "hill" tells the greatest love story ever written and represents everything Christianity stands for. It remains to this day as a reminder of an unmatchable price so passionately paid for a people so undeserving and so unworthy, the shed blood and broken body of a Saviour who so lovingly gave all He had to give!
Focus Scripture today: "And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left." (Luke 23:33)
This focus verse today easily reminds us of the Psalmist’s words found in Psalm 121:1, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." The Lord has been good to us, so very good! All that we ever need,
He's been there to supply. He washed our sins away, He turned our
darkness into day, He has abundantly blessed us, wouldn’t you say? As we learn to prioritize our time, using it wisely with more focus and
attention given to our inner man than our outer shell, we will find that our
outward appearance will begin to bear a glorious resemblance to our Father, an appearance that will be noticeable to all we interact with. Remember, death can never touch Jesus again. He lives His life unto you and I, His people. Likewise, Lord, help us to consider ourself dead to sin and alive to You in Him.
Let us Pray: “Dear precious Lord, we stand in awe of the price You so unselfishly paid for our redemption. We thank You for what Mt. Calvary means to us, not that we still see You hanging on that cross, but because of the blood that was spilled and the completed work that has been done, for each of us, for me! Thank You that our old self was crucified with Christ so that our sinful body might be destroyed, and that we might no longer be a slave to sin. Thank You for freeing us from sin through our dying with Jesus. O’ Lord, forgive us, Father, we feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit right now as we would consider our daily priorities. Help us to heed Your voice! Help us to respond to Your gentle nudge every morning as You invite us to take care of inner cleansing first as we spend time in Your presence. Lord, teach us to always keep our priorities in order, regarding our time with You as most important in every day. Your love is so overwhelming, Your sacrifice so awesome, Your grace so perfect, Your mercy so enduring, Your cleansing so perfect, Your redemption so free, Your provision so complete, all we can do is stand in awe of You, our precious, precious Lord! Lord, teach us, help us, and guide us as we rearrange our lifestyle so that the inside of our vessel will be first in the order of our daily routine. Father, thank You for the reminder that without You, we can do nothing and that includes starting each day off right. In Jesus' Name, by His blood, for His glory we do pray. Amen and Amen.
Today and every day, keep your eyes fixed on the "Hill" from whence cometh your help, the hill called Mt. Calvary, where the horror of the cross has become the beauty of our salvation! Praise ye the Lord!
“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” (1 Peter 4:12-13)
