“Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.

My choice this week is from the same Chapter in the Word. 2 Cor. 4:15 says, "For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God."

The entire life that Christ lived on this earth was not to His benefit. He had no need to impress others with His ability to control, build an empire or establish an earthly kingdom of power. He asked twelve to live a life with Him, learn about living by the principles of an existing eternal Kingdom and carry His message to the rest of the world. Jesus revealed Himself to the Apostle Paul in a dynamic way on the Damascus road. Then Paul separated himself from the rest of the world for three years. He spent that time with Jesus learning about Christ's identity, accomplishments and purpose on earth. Subsequently, Paul started traveling to all the villages and cities in the known world teaching the message of new life in Christ. Paul talks about the hardship of his journeys in second Corinthians. He has suffered poverty, hunger, shipwreck, rejection, betrayal, stoning, beatings and other persecution in order to continue teaching these cities and villages about Jesus. Paul wasted a great deal of time suffering at the hands of vicious jealous frightened religious leaders who were willing to kill him to stop him if necessary. They send liars to the towns and villages after Paul left to discredit his message. They hired thugs to track him down and break him, kill him, if he would not stop. All this was not to Paul's benefit. He eventually was hung from his feet by Roman authority and left until the blood in his body burst his head open. He did this because he believed so much in Christ that he could do nothing else.

Every thought, every action, every breath, every plan, every movement of every second of his life focused on being a benefit to others at his own expense. He knows, is persuaded and fully convinced that he would be effective because the power of Christ's Eternal Kingdom is greater than the power of earthly principles. Paul suffered like Christ to spread the message of grace and hope and was so incredible effective that today, two thousand years later his hard work and insight from God still heals, restores, guides, directs and helps all that read. Yes these words did not come from his human intellect, they are not attributed to him because he died to trusting his own thoughts. The words, deeds and actions of Paul are a source of power because they are miraculous proofs of the living resurrected Christ dwelling in all that are 'persuaded that He is able" to give the information, courage, insight, ability, endurance, patience, compassion, resources and hope needed to benefit others. This miracle reaches more and more people, decade after decade, century after century, millennium after millennium. Every second, every minute, every hour, every day and every year people find new life in Christ. All this reveals Christ "so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God".
