“Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1. Have you ever given any thought to how important timing is to God? God not only has a "reason" for everything He does, but He has a "season"
for everything He does. We tend to do things on the spur of the moment, but God works with design and with purpose, yet that is so hard for us to comprehend in our finite minds. In God's infinite plans, He has laid out an intricate plan. Everything God has declared must come to pass as He has said it will. He doesn't
act according to our timetable. Amen?

It is Always the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us that we give thanks in every thing. We don't have to wait for Thanksgiving or any special holiday to make a way for us to "Give Thanks."

Our Focus Scripture: "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

We are so often reminded that we are "kings and priests", "ambassadors", "joint heirs", and so on. These are all true and accurately assess the position of the believer. There is a balance, however, that is hard to maintain and yet so necessary. It is called "Humility"! Humility is a virtue that expresses itself in thankfulness, lowliness, and servitude. The will of God for us is to walk with the assurance of our position in Christ with humility of heart, a rare mixture that will produce a "peculiar" creature indeed. Perhaps that's why we're referred to as a
"peculiar people"! Huh?

Let us Pray: "Father, we must confess that we are anxious to see Your promises made manifest in our life, in this time, in this place. Lord, please forgive our anxiousness and help us to be patient, waiting on You to move in Your time. Father, help us to be still, and to be confident in Your promises, knowing that You will fulfill all that You have promised, not only in our own life, but in this world, in this time. Your ways are so far above ours, Your wisdom so much greater than ours, we praise You for Who You are and for what You have promised. You are trustworthy, You are awesome! Lord, may we have a song on our heart that expresses our prayer today, Give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the Holy One. Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son! We give thanks! And, Lord, when we are weak, because of You we can be strong, when we are poor, because of You we are rich, all because of what You've done for us, and we give thanks to You. With a humble heart we bow before You and Give Thanks, not only because it's Your will, but because we want to. O' Lord, please give us a clearer sense of Your glory and victory. Please empower our faith to trust the truth of Your conquest over hell. Please fill us with Your Spirit and bring forth Your fruit in our life. Please fill our mouth with joyful praise for all that You have done for us. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen."

Think about the prophets of old, they listened, declared the Word of God, and then waited for the coming of the Messiah. They waited, and waited, and waited. But although God's Word had been spoken and the prophecies recorded, the manifestation of God's plan was not to be for many years, generations passed before the prophesied Messiah was born! Consider Abraham, years passed before Isaac was born. Consider Zacharias and Elizabeth, years passed before their son was born. Consider Simeon, years passed before he saw the manifestation of God's promise in his life. And, more examples too numerous to
mention! God's plan was never thwarted by any trick of the enemy, it always came to pass "in His time". While maintaining your busy schedule, be sure to keep in mind that no gift will ever be received as well as that which is given with a humble, thankful heart. Remember that the greatest possible gift you could ever give is love. It is more costly than gold, more precious than diamonds, and more meaningful than anything money could buy!

If you sometimes wonder what God is doing, just be patient and walk faithfully and obediently. As God's sons and daughters, if we have committed our lives to Him, He is going to bring things to pass at the right place, at the right time. It's a promise. Be a bearer of love, giving thanks in all things, this truly is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you as well as me. Give Thanks!

"Be joyful always." 1 Thessalonians 5:16
