"Saved From Hell"
Text: Romans 3:25-26
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his
blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through
the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:
that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

The key word from which I have gleaned this thought, "saved from hell"
comes from the word "propitiation" in verse 25 of the above scriptures.
Paul in this third chapter of this letters to the Romans is debating with
the Jewish Christians concerning how they were saved. Many of the Jewish
Christians
believed that their salvation was a result of works and faith. And Paul
wanted them to understand that their salvation came only through their faith
in
Jesus Christ not by the law and their works.

He wanted them to understand that all men have sinned and come short
of the glory of God and that their was no difference between the Jew and the
Gentle when it comes to salvation. For both the Jew and the Gentle were
saved by the same faith in the works of Jesus Christ. Christ was set forth
to be
a propitiation for us, so that by faith we are "saved from hell". The word
"propitiation" means to offer something to God to turn away his wrath. We my
fellow believers are "saved from hell" because God offered his only Son to
be a propitiation for us to turn his wrath away from us so that we can be
"saved
from hell".

From the start of life, every man and woman is bound for hell. David
said, "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive
me",
(Psa 51:5). As David is saying, we are born perverted having the stain of
Adam and out of the will of God, distend for a devil's hell. We yield to the
lust of the eye and the lust of the flesh and the pride of life and when all
of these are conceived they bring forth death. They will bring forth upon
us the wrath of God.

We as men we will always try to make excuses for our sins, we try to
find a scapegoat to lay them upon. We will use the saying "the devil made me
do it" or "I got the can't help its" and this is true in some ways because
when you are born in sin the only thing you can do is sin because sin is in
control of your nature. My friend your body is not your own, it is in
bondage and under the control of Satan. You may feel that there is no way to
be freed
from all of the different vices of sin.

And as time goes on you begin to loose hope and you find you hate
because you want to hate, you commit adultery because you want to commit
adultery,
you steal because you want to steal, and your going down, down, down into
the cesspool of sin. My friend you can be rescued and be "saved from hell".
My
friend the gospel of Jesus Christ is your life line, hear it in faith and
believe. The gospel says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world;
but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is
not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath
not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God", (John 3:16-18).

Hearing this gospel of love and conviction will bring you to
repentance and you will cry out like Paul, "O wretched man that I am! who
shall deliver
me from the body of this death", (Rom 7:24)? The Lord Jesus Christ is your
answer, he was the propitiation, he was the scapegoat for you. all of our
blame
when upon him for you and by faith in him you will not have to suffer the
wrath of God and you will be "saved from hell".

Then do as Jesus said, be born again, of the water and of the spirit.
Peter revealed this mystery of how to be born again after the day of
Pentecost.
Peter said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy
Ghost. My friend if you want to be "saved from hell" do as Peter said do!!

To get out of a hard situation,
try a soft answer.

but grievous words stir up anger.
