"Hearing the Word"

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

It is the preaching of the good news of Jesus Christ that converts the
soul of a man. And it is through the physical organ of the ear that he is
able
to ear and receive the new life giving power of the preached word. It is the
preach word that gives faith to the soul were faith has never been before.
Because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It is the
hearing of the word that brings faith and converts a sinful man enabling him
to keep the blessed word hid in his heart so that he might not sin against
God.

The sounding words of the gospel is a lifeline to a drowning soul; the
sound of the gospel is a doctor to the sick and it is the medicine that
brings
recovery. The hearing of the word will bring peace to the warring soul where
there is no peace and joy to the place of sadness where there is no joy. The
hearing of God's word will bring faith to one who has no faith and salvation
to the lost soul.

Faith the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not
seen enables the child of God to see and to live for the return of the Lord.
Faith
enables us to see the glories of heaven beyond a cloudy sky. Faith enables
us to see beyond our earthly circumstances of trials and tribulations that
only
predict doom and a great down fall. It is by faith that we know that Christ
will bring to us a better day while we are suffering through those trials
and
tribulations. Faith gives us hope in God and it is our faith that has saved
us and it is our faith that has made us whole.

The word, the word, the hearing of the word has been our light that
has brought us out of the midst of darkness. The word, the word, the hearing
of
the word has given to us life in Christ that is without end. The word, the
word, the preaching of the word, "Is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto
my
path" (Psa 119:105). The preached word of God is pure and without error and
the power of the word will quicken you to the newness of life. Everything
old
about you will pass away because your steps are now ordered by the Lord.

The hearing of the word will bring repentance into the heart where
there was no repentance; it will bring a seeking soul to God where there was
no
desire to know God. Hearing the word will bring obedience to the word where
there was no obedience and a desire for the salvation of God to one who had
no desire to be saved. The word will reveal to him how he must be saved. The
faith that comes by hearing and the hearing by the word of God will open his
understanding of what he must do to be saved. The word will say to him,
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remission
of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost", (Acts 2:38). And
the word will have him obey, "What thus saith the Lord" by the hearing of
the
word. Amen.

Rom 10:14
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how
shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they
hear without
a preacher?

Rom 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to
the Greek.

Luk 16:29
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear
them.

1Cr 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto
us which are saved it is the power of God.

Col 1:4
Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love [which ye
have] to all the saints,

1Th 2:13
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received
the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of
men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also
in you that believe.

2Th 2:13
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of
the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation
through
sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Jam 1:18
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind
of firstfruits of his creatures.

1Pe 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word
of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1Pe 2:1
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and
envies, and all evil speakings,

Jer 23:28
The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my
word, let him speak my word faithfully. What [is] the chaff to the wheat?
saith
the LORD.

Mar 4:24
And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it
shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

Luk 8:11
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Luk 11:28
But he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear the word of God, and
keep it.

2Cr 2:17
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity,
but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Hbr 4:12
For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the
joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.

Rev 1:9
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the
kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos,
for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

To get out of a hard situation,
try a soft answer.
Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger.
