"The Lord Will Remember Me"
Isaiah 64:9
Be not exceedingly angry, Oh Lord, And remember not iniquity forever.
This particular verse was written by the Second Isaiah, the name given
to the unknown prophet who wrote these scriptures in Isaiah chapter
sixty-four.
Israel had sinned against God many, many times and God finally allowed them
to be taken into captivity. In their captivity, they endured great
sufferings
for a long, long time and reached the point where they believed that God had
forgotten about them and would remember them no more.
I'm sharing this short message with you to encourage you to believe
that God will not forget you. Each one of us have suffered or are suffering
in
a trail or tribulation that has lasted for a mighty long time. And have
reach the point of thinking that help is not going to come. Many of us have
been
suffering from various types of disease for a long time and have received no
physical relief. We have had problems with our children, on the job, in the
home, in our marriages and we wonder were is God. And some of us have a hard
time saying in faith, "Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me". My sisters
and my brothers, don't you lose hope in God but say to your selves and to
your enemy, "The Lord will remember me".
Stand on the foundation of the words of Jesus and you will hear him
saying, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you", come unto me all ye that
labor
and are heavy laden and I will give you rest for your soul. Deliverance from
your bondage of trials and tribulations is on the way, in fact it nearer
than
you think because the Lord has not forgotten you. Do like David said, Look
unto the hills from which cometh your help, your help will come from the
Lord.
I know that God will not forget me because he is a merciful Father, he
will remember my iniquities no more and his anger will only last for a
season.
So I fear not to go before his throne of mercy and cast all of my cares upon
him. I cast to him my weakness, I cast to him doubts, I cast to him my
sicknesses,
I cast to him every problem and every need that comes my way. And I say to
you as I have had to say to myself many times, "Have faith in God".
