"Lord, Help Me to Wait"
Text: Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.

A person that is impatient is a very unhappy individual because they
are in a hurry to get what they want. And we all have battles with being
impatient
and these events can try our very souls. Everyday our patients or ability to
wait is tried; we are tried waiting in line a various business
establishments,
we are tried on the phone waiting to speak to someone and not to a machine
giving us a number menu. Our nature is hurry, hurry, hurry. Not being able
to
wait peacefully causes stress and many times it causes anger. And none of
these conditions are good for the natural man or your spiritual man.

Sometimes we even call upon the Lord expecting him to move upon our
behalf at the moment we call upon him and when nothing happens we become
impatient
and disappointed. Some people even begin to blame themselves believing that
they have offended God because he has not given them what hey asked for.
They
allow their impatience and inability to wait to cloud their thinking and
weaken their belief in God as a prayer answering God. They never realize
that
God knows what is best and when the best time is to give it to you. They
never realize that they may not be ready for what they want.

We need to call upon the Lord and say to him "Lord help me to wait",
help me to stand steadfast in believing that you will provide for all that I
ask in your own time. The way we measure time is not how God measures time
because he is not governed by time but he is the Lord of time. Things come
and
things go at his will and in his time. We can't bind him to our schedule for
getting things done on time. What seems to be an eternity to us may be only
a moment of time with God.

Learning to wait in spite of everything that appears to be hindering
the coming of your blessing is building up your most holy faith. In spite of
everything that Job saw happening in is life to his hurt, he never loss
faith in God. Job said, "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of
my
appointed time will I wait, till my change come", (Job 14:14). Solomon pick
up the same thought when he said,"Better is the end of a thing than the
beginning
thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit",
(Eccl 7:8).

Each of us is encouraged to wait for the appearing of Christ when he
comes to take his bride the church back to glory. Be like a world renowned
chief
and learn to wait as he cooks his foods in slow perfection to bring out the
best quality of flavor. And that is what learning to wait will do for us, it
will bring out the best in us as people of God.

Psa 25:3
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which
