"Blessed Another Year" Psalm 65:11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. This year is almost at its end and we have come this far because God has crowned us with his goodness for another year. Each child of God can cry out to the Lord in praise and thank him for being "blessed another year". Life is a precious gift that God has given to each one of us and he has allowed us to live through this year in life, health and strength. We may not be as healthy as we would like to be but all through this year the Lord has given to us the light of another day for three hundred and fifty-two days. We have truly been "blessed another year". This has been a very troublesome year for many, many people because of the bad economy but when you know God and he knows you, nothing can make you become discouraged because the Lord is right there to sustain and to uphold you. This nation is living in terror for the first time in its history and those living without God in their life are living in fear of the loss of their life due to some type of terrorist act. We the saints of the Most High God don't live in fear because we can say, "By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me", (Psa 41:11). The spirit and the soul of the saint is unconquerable and our proof of the pudding is in the fact that we have been "blessed another year". God didn't bless us day after day because we were so good and righteous; the word tells us that all of our righteousness is filthy rags. But he blesses us because he is merciful to us and sheds his grace upon us; the child of God is the apple of God's eye. He even sheds his grace and mercy upon the evil and the good; those who have not called upon him for the salvation of their souls. I know that it is impossible but when you have a few minutes at the end of this year recall how God has blessed you through the year and thank him for his goodness unto you. Psa 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as [with] a shield. Pro 14:18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Hbr 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Psa 25:10 All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. Psa 104:3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Joe 2:14 Who knoweth [if] he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; [even] a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? Hag 2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless [you]. Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. Psa 36:8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; A fruitful harvest requires faithful service. Galatians 6:9 states, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. YBIC, Thomas, And YSIC, Linda. twilliamson2@... pofm@...
