=== Serving needs ===

by Jeremy Newlin
João Pessoa, Brazil

I went with Antônio, Vamberto's father, who was
baptized last month to get his pension check from the
government. For three months he hadn't received any
money and needed it desperately to buy medicine. He had
tried to get it three or four times before, but nothing
had been done.

We prayed together during my visit with him that God
would help us get the problem resolved. The next day,
we walked into the government building around 8:15 a.m.
and we were out by about 8:25 a.m. It took the 10
minutes because I had to ask for directions.

God is still working and active in our lives today.
Praise Him! Now Antônio can buy his medicine and other
things that he needs without depending on others. He
was very grateful.

As for me, it feels good to serve. It truly is better
to give than to receive.
