NO CHURCH IN PINDAMONHANGABA
by J. Randal Matheny

Recently Sonia Freitas wrote us from the city of
Jaraguá, in the state of São Paulo. She is a Christian
who participates in the Jundiaí church, where our
friend Alexandre Pestana serves as an elder.

Before she got to her main topic, she wrote about
Edification Magazine:

"... I find the articles interesting and of great
benefit, because it treats topics that, many
times, we know little about, and it's great,
because it resolves our doubts. In those things
where there are no doubts, the magazine confirms
our faith, adds to our knowledge and makes us
  think."

Then she asks:

"I would like to know if the church of Christ
exists in the city of Pindamonhagaba. Because
practically 100% of my relatives live there, and
I'll be traveling there at year's end. I know that
you're on top of what's happening in the Paraíba
  Valley."

I had to tell her that, unfortunately, no church
exists in this city of 140,000 inhabitants.

Some 20 minutes away, the small church of Taubaté
meets on Sunday afternoons. We work here also, after
the SJCampos's meeting in the morning.

I encouraged her to sign her relatives up for the
Bible correpondence course, Jesus Christ, the Simple
Way. And that we're ready to help reach them for their
salvation.

Pray that a door may be opened into yet another city
of our region, that the gospel may grow and prosper in
every place.
