Randal Matheny Alexia is a vivacious 7-year-old girl who was discovered to have cancer in her stomach the week before Christmas, 2005. She was to have surgery Dec. 26 for either a biopsy or complete removal of the tumor, depending on which was possible. At 2 years, Alexia had surgery for a virulent form of lung cancer and underwent chemotherapy. Her parents, Wilson and Bete Cardoso, moved earlier this year to his hometown of Franca, as he sought employment. They were strong and dedicated Christians here in SJC during the 10 years we worked closely with them. We would appreciate your prayers on their behalf and on Alexia's.
