FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM GARNERS PRIZE

GUARULHOS, BRAZIL (BZNS) -- The Guarulhos branch
of the Christian Corner children's program won
first place as a philanthropic organization in a
major mall's Christmas competition.

The prize was promoted by the Shopping Center
Internacional (International Mall), in Guarulhos,
as a part of its 2005 Christmas program. The CC
will receive over $6,500 in merchandise donated by
the mall's stores, according to the Guarulhos
church's January, 2006, bulletin, "Amo Jesus."

The CC ministry offers a half-day program of
sports, tutoring, nutrition, and Bible classes for
low-income school-age children of working mothers.
In Brazilian public schools students attend half a
day.

The mall awarded second and third place to a
Catholic family association and a Spiritist
center.

The CC ministry has several units in the greater
São Paulo area. The Guarulhos branch is located in
this suburb city north of the state capital of São
Paulo, near the international airport, and is
supported especially by the Guarulhos
congregation.

Miriam Rodrigues, one of the unit's workers,
credited the unity of the brethren as a factor in
receiving the prize.

The Guarulhos CC also received eight computers
from the Rio Negro company to develop its computer
room. Rodrigues emphasized the seriousness and
responsibility of the CCSH's directors as key to
the donation.
