Vicki has been studying with Tereza, who passed through several religious groups before she started participating in the church. She has two daughters. This week we began studying with a young couple, Erisvaldo and Ana Paula, who have a baby girl. They have limited religious experience, mostly negative, in denominations. We'll study with them again Thursday night. Please pray for the conversion of these people. Joel and Leila went to Christian camp this month, in different weeks. Micah is too old for the regular sessions. I've been preparing material for a book, gathering articles from Forthright Magazine and putting them in some sequence. Also trying to get Tom Tarbet's book we translated in parts into one coherent whole to publish here in Brazil. The magazine is late, again, and the editor Francisco has a tough time with job changes, daughter's birth, computer problems. I started putting January's edition together, and the file got corrupted. I've got most of the text, but will have to redo the whole formatting again. The church decided that, beginning in February, we'll meet at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings. That will put a crunch in my traveling with the Transformation course, but we'll work around it. Also, we're searching for a building to rent, since the brethren want to leave the hotel. We've made a proposal for a two-story building just off the main street and three blocks away from the interstate highway. It's also close to the largest mall in town. It's acessible to most bus lines, much better than the hotel. I took the Total Transformation course to Sorocaba Jan. 10-11. The city of half a million is located an hour and a half on the other side of Sao Paulo. Took me about four hours by bus. Thirty people participated, with some five or six non-Christians. Looks like I'll go to Rio de Janeiro during Carnaval (Mar. 3-4) with the course, and people from Vila Maria congregation in Sao Paulo have also asked about my coming there. The Taguatinga congregation near Brasilia has asked me to go there to teach on marriage sometime this year. I continued preaching this first quarter of the year in SJCampos. My sermons have the theme "We Can!" Also, I'm teaching "Beginnings" in the adult Bible class, based upon Genesis 1-11. Last Sunday I preached in the city of Jundiaí, an hour and forty min. from SJCampos. We picked up Joel and Bruno in Sao Paulo from camp on Saturday, and visited with an elder's family in the Jundiaí congregation. We stayed overnight and rushed back that afternoon for our night's service here. With all of that, I'm trying to get my websites in English (http://www.forthright.net) and Portuguese (http://alcanceweb.com) redone. I'm in over my head. If you know of anybody with knowledge of php, MySQL and other indecent-looking computer languages, let me know. Thanks for your interest, and please keep our family and our ministry in your prayers.
