See unsub information at end.] LONG-TERM MISSIONARY DAVID MEADOWS SUCCUMBS TO CANCER SAO PAULO, BRAZIL (BZNS)- After months of fighting cancer of the pancreas and lung, David Meadows, long- term missionary and elder in the Guarulhos church, died this morning around 8:30 a.m., according to Sergio Nascimento, secretary of the Mt of Olives Christian Camp. Meadows had been hospitalized again on Saturday after his condition worsened. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but Nascimento indicated the body would likely be cremated. At his death, Meadows was in his second two-year term as General Director of the camp. He had initiated the work in the city of Guarulhos, in the greater Sao Paulo area, and served as one of two elders in the congregation. He was instrumental in the beginning of the National Bible School and served as an assistant editor in the initial stages of the forthcoming dictionary of Biblical vocabulary to be published by Projeto Alcance. He is survived by his wife Sarah, four children, all living in Brazil, and three (?) grandchildren. ----- BZeal rejoices in the progress of the gospel in Brazil and around the world.
