"The Door Is Knocking"
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup
with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20
When Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking to gain
access, there are two things to keep in mind:
1) There is no door knob on the outside- the knob is on the
inside. You have to open the door to Him, He doesn't open it
Himself.
2) He could come in without waiting for you to open it because He
is the Door- He can make His own way of access.
The reason why Jesus waits for you to open the door and
won't give Himself access- although He could- is called "giving you
a free will". He doesn't force Himself on you or into your
situation- He stands there knocking, waiting for you to acknowledge Him
and let Him in.
Is He knocking on the door of your heart this morning?
Is He trying to gain access into your situation to give you strength,
peace or joy in a trying time? Is He trying to gain access to let
you know that there are some things that are in your heart and life that
need to be changed? Is He trying to gain access so that some
"cleaning" can take place? Is He knocking on your heart's
door wanting to come in and be the Savior of your life and Lord of your
heart? He knocks on our hearts for many reasons. He desires
to gain access for many reasons... all of which are good and for our
benefit. Is He knocking today? Don't turn Him away.
Open the door, invite Him in, give Him access to do something great in
your life.
Have a great day. Only you can open the door, He
won't... will you?
