"Two Plus One Equals Three"
 
"For I am the Lord, I change not..." Malachi 3:6a
 
If I hold up one finger on my right hand and two fingers on my left hand and add them together I get the number three.  If I switch it and hold up two fingers on the right hand and one finger on the left hand and add them together I still get the number three.  If I go outside and add one and two together, the answer will still be three.  If I go to Paris and add two and one together, guess what the answer will be... three.  If I add two and one together at the North Pole, at the South Pole, in Europe, or Asia, Africa or Timbuktu I will still come up with three.  No matter where I add them, or in what sequence I add them... two and one always equal three.
 
Numbers are constant; they don't change.  Through this natural principle we learn something about God as well... He is constant, He does not change.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He is the same when you are in the valley, on the mountain, in the fiery furnace, in the pit, the lion's den, no matter where you find yourself, you can count on this one fact--- God does not change.  This is why you can trust Him with your life, with your circumstance, with your situation.  You can count on His faithfulness no matter what the trial.  You can count on His ability and power no matter what's attacking you or tempting you.  
 
So the next time you do addition, remember that the answer will never change when you add the same numbers together.  Then stop and think about God... no matter what or where, He doesn't change either.
 
Have a great day.  God does not change.  He is the same every where all the time.
