This is a frantic and urgent plea for financial aide for Refuge Ministries.  We have had our building sold out from under us, and we must find another or our ministry of 6 years will be at an end in 6-8 weeks for now.
        Many of you know us or have at least heard of us for the work we do for the homeless, teens, counter coulture, and alternative Christian bands. Many of you over the years have either started out your bands with us or played at Refuge concerts one time or another.
        If our ministry ends I ask you who will serve the 700-900 plates of food each week, who will take our place for the up to 90 bags of food given out weekly, who will rescue the area children from local crack houses as our ministry and I personally have done because police can't or won't, who will stand against the drug dealers that prey on little 7 or 8 year olds with promises of wealth & status only to throw them away once they become old enough for prison or hooked on crack and are no more use to them.
        How do I tell the mother of 10 thats been cut from the welfare rolls that I can no longer help her either, that she will have to choose between a roof over their heads or food in their mouths because her minimum wage job won't pay for both.
        Since I am the one that gives out the food bags at The Refuge it will be me that looks into her eyes and feels her fear and despair for her children.
         Now is the time to ask ourselves, "What Would Jesus Do?"
