Hello All CU Listers, and especially you, Thomas, and anyone else who might
be interested in music related to Christian unity.

Praise Jesus for the breath to sing a song to Him! Thomas, I think your
idea of a Christian unity music anthology is great. Let's get started
trying to get one going here. Here are just a few of the songs that I know
of offhand that deal with the subject of Christian unity. There are some
others that got real popular on Christian radio stations in the U.S. over
the last several years, but I don't remember them by name or artist, so I'm
not sure how to find them again.

As time goes by, I'll do some searching on the internet and see if I can
find more. When I find more, I'll post them here on the CU list. I'll
refer to them in groups, each time I post some new ones, just so we don't
have to post the same ones over again all the time. If anybody knows of any
more, just tell me what you can remember of the title or artist, and I will
try to search for them on the internet to find more information about them
so we can add them to the anthology list.

Some of the Christian unity songs that I have noticed lately come from such
websites as www.mp3.com .
These songs are often by unsigned artists or groups, that are relatively
unknown, are independent and not working for a record label company. They
may be even somewhat amateur, but the lyrics are often worth reading, just
to hear what the Holy Spirit has inspired the songwriter to say. And some
such songs by independents are quite good. Also, if you, or a Christian
music group you know of is looking do a recording, it is often easier to get
permission from these artists, than it is with an artist on a major record
label contract.

Love in Jesus to all,
Tim

Song Comments: This is an excellent, bright, uplifting, Christian pop song
that is not specifically about Christian unity, but the group MiRth is. They
describe themselves this way: Our mission at Youth With A Mission, Elm
Springs is to build and advance the Kingdom of God by uniting the Body of
Christ to disciple all nations. We believe the highest form of worship is
not in our verbal declaration of His greatness, as much as it is in our
obedience to His loving commands.
