Paul, Following up on Joshua 6, you'll notice there was no saving of the virgin girls at Jericho. Only Rahab the harlot and her family were spared, because of her favor to the Israelites. Herein is an wondrous example of God's amazing grace; this harlot, Rahab, becomes the mother of Boaz, who is listed in the geneology of the Messiah, Jesus! (Matt. 1) Behold the severity and the mercy of the great Creator who revealed Himself as the I AM that I AM to Moses; and more fully revealed Himself in Jesus of Nazareth, who said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." This Jesus took the violence of all mankind's sin upon Himself, suffering death upon the cross for our sake; forever earning the right to be heard and followed without question. His self-sacrifice speaks volumes about the character of God that surpasses the need to second- guess any of His actions or motives. (Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?). I may not always understand, for I lack perfect and complete knowledge. But having seen His nature revealed, I can utterly trust Him and His Word; and any accusation brought against Him I therefore know is unfounded and seditious.
