Hello CU listers,

My local fellowship had the following prayer printed in the bulletin on
Sunday:

Almighty and eternal God,
you have called us to be your people:
bring us closer unity and fellowship
with you and one another,
so that every member of your Church
may serve you in holiness and truth;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Quite why we need to remind Him that He has called us to be His people, I'm
not sure! (the way public prayers are worded always brings a smile... :-)).
But I take it in the spirit in which it was intended, and hope you will
benefit from it too.

This is one of the benefits of the CU list: I might not have given that
prayer any special thought if I was not part of this list. Heightened
awareness of unity issues may be helping each of us towards greater unity
almost unnoticed!
