Dear Bill,

May we glorify Jesus in all that we do and say here! Could you offer any
scripture to verify those statements, Bill? I'm not aware of any that could
be used to prove it. Can anyone else on the list think of any supporting
scriptures?

But I can tell you this, right off hand, Bill. I don't believe the
scriptures say that at all, and I don't believe it is a fact at all.

I don't believe Jesus is in the heart of anyone who takes any book but the
Bible as the final authority for God's word. Someone else may have to carry
the truth to him verbally, but the truth thus conveyed ultimately comes from
that book only, as far as we Christians recognize.

I don't believe Jesus is in the heart of anyone who doesn't know that Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, the one in the Bible, is the son of God. The unbeliever
may be a nice, decent, even comparatively upright, righteous man. And I am
certain such a man will be judged mercifully by God. I just thank God that
none of us are God, so we can leave that judgement to Him.

But I don't believe Jesus is in the man's heart. It isn't Biblical. I
don't know exactly what God does with the man, and I don't care. I am
pleased to let the loving God of grace we serve make His own decisions.

And I don't believe Jesus is in the heart of anyone who doesn't repent of
his sins, and claim the blood of Jesus, by that name, for the remission of
his sins. We've all sinned and fallen short of God's glory. And only
individual, personal, first-person recognition of the blood and sacrifice of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the one in the Bible, can cause Jesus to enter a
man's heart, ours or anyone else's.

That's what I believe, Bill. But you seem to be saying Jesus is in the
heart of anyone, such as a Muslim, who sincerely believes that he loves God?
Is that what you are saying? Not by any scripture that comes to mind for
me. Maybe you can suggest some, and show how it is proven? Or maybe
someone else on the list knows what Bill is getting at here?

Love in Jesus,
Tim
