Somebody once asked if FWP has a site on the web. Yeah, he's got one all
right, and he's apparently got it by the throat. It's the CU list site he's
got, and the subject of Christian unity seems a little hard to find in the
posts I get. Anybody heard the name Jesus, here lately? In any sort of
meaningful dialogue? Anybody got any ideas about how to unite in Him?
Please list, leave FWP alone. All he does is sit and wait for someone to
come along who hasn't seen the last dozen fruitless discussions he's had,
and try to start another argument. Maybe he knows us better than we think.
He never seems to run out of new opponents, and at least half the time it
digresses to angry exchanges. Why should Christians continue to cast pearls
before swine? The only scriptures this guy cares about are the ones he can
misapply by trying to insult us.
Someone else, on the way to the fishin' hole, mentioned how a guy like FWP
fires arrows into the crowd. Seems a bit more like blasts from a sawed-off
shotgun to me. He goes off in all directions, with the widest pattern
possible, trying to take the discussion in any direction away from Jesus.
The one thing he NEVER does is listen. Folks, he just DOESN'T LISTEN! So
save your pearls for someone that knows their value or would sincerely like
to know.
I have some questions for the whole list of Christians. What would
>Christian unity< look like? Do we have it fully already? If not, then what
would it look like? What practical form does it take for us now? Does it
involve all Christian denominations? What is the definition of a Christian,
or a Christian denomination? And what kind of unity does God want us to
have in Jesus? Any ideas?
