Dr. Schell,
What I said was not said from sarcasm or satire. If I am
inaccurately reporting the beliefs of the Mormons, I welcome
your careful correction.
Your caricature of evangelicals is not up to the standards of a man
of academic teaching quality. As Joe Friday used to say, "The facts,
just the facts, mam".
I believe in only the use of biblical names for the church, so I will
not defend the use of other appellations. But nailing an apple to a
telephone pole and calling it an apple tree doesn't make it so!
I am quite willing to enter into a dialogue in search of the truth of
God's Word, if you are willing. But I have no interest in verbal
sparring just to play to an audience of those who will cheer you on
to draw emotional blood.
Yours servant for Jesus' sake,
Tom
