Today's Devotion

"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and
there is none else." (Isaiah 45:22)


Today's Thought

Exodus 34;14 says, "For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose
name is Jealous, is a jealous God:" He demands . . . no, He DESERVES our
worship, our adoration, our devotion, our sacrifice. There is no other god
in all the universe who can compare to the Most High God!

Do you have other "gods" in your life? Are you sharing your affection with
another? Are your eyes fixed on the God of the Bible, or are your eyes
wandering?

According to today's verse, no other god can save you . . . not television,
families, church, physical feel-good feelings, material goods, financial
security, success, and the list goes on and on. But we serve a jealous God .
. . there is no other way for us to be saved! The Lord is calling His Church
to a higher level of commitment to Him. We can no longer afford to be
part-time Christians; we either need to totally sell-out or we won't be able
to stand.

Take inventory of your life . . . where do your priorities lie? Are you
nurturing a relationship with a "substitution" or with the Most High God?
Be honest with yourself . . . it's not too late to change your focus!
You'll never regret allowing the God who saves . . . the God from the Ends
of the Earth . . . to be number one in your life!


Today's Prayer

Father, help me to identify anything and everything that would divert my
attention and focus away from You. Father, I long to worship You in spirit
and in truth . . . to be all that You called me to be. Lord, I cannot live
another day without being in Your presence . . . teach me to come with a
pure heart and pure conscience with my heart fixed on You and You alone!
Father, I stand before you in total surrender . . . my gaze is fixed, my
heart is settled, and I will look to no other, for You are my all in all!
Amen!
