I will ask that a message be put in our bulletin. I am not sure who was the
owner/moderator of the list was before but whoever it was I want to thank
you for the time and effort you put into starting the list. Jan I know you
will do a great job and like you I hope that the list grows.
I have a question for the group and please remember I have only been a
Christian for three years and attending a CoG for one year so if this
question seems elementary please forgive me. How do you know if you have
received the gift of Discerning Spirit and if you have - how do you deal
with it.

Hi everyone!
As of this evening, I have accepted the responsibility of owner/moderator
of the Church of God list and am excited about the possibilities of seeing
it become active and vibrant!
At present, there are 24 subscribers . . . a good start, but not hardly
what the potential is!
As my first request of everyone as your new moderator, I would like for us
all to begin to invite others from our churches and families to subscribe
and make use of this opportunity to share sermon highlights, testimonies,
prayer requests, praise reports, etc. We have been given a wonderful
opportunity to use this list for the glory of God, to see it reach others,
ministering to all of us! There is so much we could share to help infuse
the ministries at each of our local churches with fresh ideas and visions!
How to do this:
(1) Have a notice put in the bulletin
(2) If your church has a homepage, have them put a notice on the homepage
(3) Word of mouth
(4) Share with your e-mail friends and contacts
Encourage those interested to subscribe by sending a blank e-mail message
to: cog-subscribe@...
That's all there is to it!
Let's bring this list to life, not just to see the numbers increase, but to
experience the "family" of the Church of God and its friends!
I look forward to serving you as your new Moderator . . . if you have any
