Amen! In all of this, I keep getting frustrated over wanting to do more to wake people up. I have talked to people who are honestly not sure this is any big deal. My wife cautions me not to be too aggressive in my rebuttals. I'm not a violent person, but when I speak passionately about something, I can cut to the bone and really do some damage. I debate to win, and don't always consider the consequence of what I'm saying. The public reaction just tears me up inside. I have actually felt extreme anxiety and even depression over it. It's like my soul weeps for the moral condition of our nation. I don't know about anyone else on this list, but I was one of the 2 million, or so, who last year went to D.C. for Promise Keeper's Sacred Assembly. I have a feeling that what we are going through is somehow related. But we must continue on in our zealous praying and standing in the gap for this country. Otherwise, all of that was just a good showing, but no real substance or application. I've been reading the minor prophets recently in my daily Bible reading. It's interesting to make the comparisons. To listen to their prophecies and warnings and have it apply to this nation as it did to Israel and Judah. I can't help but feel that if things don't change in this country, this great nation will be brought to ruin like Rome and many of the other ancient empires. I hope I haven't brought anyone down too much. But this country is in a mess, and we (like it or not) are a part of it. We cannot afford to stick our heads in the sand and wish it all away. We have to deal with it, and deal with it according to God's Word. This is an opportunity for Christians, albeit a tremendous challenge. God is still in control. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
