http://www.theonion.com/onion3625/harry_potter.html Harry Potter is NOT an innocent adventure into pretend, imagination, and allegory. Please take a few minutes and read the article located at the link above. I am sick . . . literally!!!!! When I read what's happening (and I assure you that this is no isolated incident) I ask first, where are the parents? Have the parents screened what the children are reading? Why do Christians make excuses for this anti-Christ propaganda luring our children away from the Holy One of Israel into the grips of the occult. We can't be too protective. Years ago I worked for a man who got caught up into witchcraft and satanism from watching a seemingly innocent show called "Bewitched". But what he saw was the ability to MANIPULATE . . . to easily change circumstances in his life by casting simple spells, so he subitted to the evil, satanic powers that exist to do just that. It wasn't long before he was in head over heels. The innocent minds of our children have been entrusted to us to guard, protect, and teach right from wrong. If we make excuses for things like the evil portrayed in books like Harry Potter's, then we are failing as parents . . . we're failing as a society. Take a few minutes and read the article. Surely you will no longer believe that these books are innocent allegory to teach kids right from wrong and the difference between good and evil. Although you may screen your child's reading material, or read along with your child explaining the spirit of anti-Christ contained in these books, most other parents do not and that's where the problem lies. Children left to themselves are targets for the enemy . . . that's where most children are today -- by themselves, in their rooms behind closed doors, while parents are doing their own thing. God help us all . . .
