Shalom my brothers and sisters in Yeshua,

There seems so much to pray for this week that .... well I'm slightly
flustered. Obviously, anybody who has watched tv, picked up a newspaper or
read emails would not have failed to notice that significant events are
currently unfolding in the Middle East. This is a time for heart-felt
prayers and intercession. A short while ago, a UN resolution was passed
which blamed Israel for pretty much all of the violence last week, and
particularly Ariel Sharon's visit to the Temple Mount. The Battle for this
peace of Land is truly on. And surprise surpise, it seems to be the "rest
of the world" against Israel. As nation after nation stands up to condemn
Israel, please keep in mind this week the Israeli ambassador to the UN,
Yehuda Lancry. May HaShem strengthen him for the coming days.

Also, many of you would have heard of the kidnap of three Israeli soldiers.
Their names are Omar Sawayid, Avraham Binyamin, and Adi Avitan. Pray for
their continued safety and their release. Pray also that the IDF leadership
will be given wisdom in these trying times and sound strategy with regards
to bringing these soldiers home. And at a time when Israel is potentially
going to face attack from the Lebanese border as well, pray against the
efforts of Hamas and other militant organizations in their attempts to
destroy lives.

The violence of the last week and in particular, the events at Joseph's
tomb yesterday has made even dovish Israeli MPs disgusted. Within the next
few days or so, there will discussions concerning the possible formulation
of a National Unity Government. It appears more likely rather than less
likely that this will occur should the violence continue. Further, in mid
October, the Knesset again sits and we could possibly see the overthrow of
this government if a National Unity Government is not reached. At any rate,
these are dynamic times in Israeli politics, so please uphold all the major
players. May HaShem's will be done.

And finally, as it is Yom Kippur tomorrow - an easy fast to all of you who
are participating. May this Yom Kippur truly be a time when all of us turn
our hearts towards Him and repent. And may He come to the help of His
people. All glory to the Holy One of Israel.

In Him

annointed one. Save your people, be their shepherd and carry them forever
." [Psalm 28:8&9]
