(Psalm 139:14) Today's Thought In moments of contemplation and prayer for the Sanctity of Life Month efforts this month, today's verse seemed to speak some marvelous truths that bring us to remembrance of how precious life truly is. The Psalmist is bold in his assertion that God is the author of life and that life, from the very moment of conception, is precious, holy, and sanctified in the eyes of God. It is indeed a marvelous fact that each one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made . . . each is different and unique and bears qualities unlike those of any other. And, yet, it has taken science thousands of years to finally prove this fact through DNA mapping. But again, David was so very aware of God's creative handiwork within the mother's womb as he was knit together from the very first moment of conception. As he meditated on these things, he was overwhelmed by the thought of God's creative power, even to the point of saying, "and that my soul knoweth right well!" Can you hear him now? As pure revelation from the Spirit of God engraved on the tables of his heart, he nearly leaped for joy at the thought of the magnificence of God's handiwork. God is awesome, and His handiwork is unmatchable! Who is like our God? There is none like Him in all the earth! Praise Him today for His work in your life and in the earth today. Nothing has escaped His attention, but rather He is acutely aware of every need in every life in this world today! Look around you and declare, "Marvelous are His works, and that my soul knoweth right well!" Today's Prayer Father, I am suddenly so aware of how marvelous Your works really are and I feel like I could shout it! You are awesome, and Your creativity in life . . . in this world . . . everywhere I look . . . is absolutely beyond words! Thank You, Lord, for giving me life so that I might enjoy Your handiwork and see Your glory in all You have done throughout the earth today! How magnificent, Lord, You truly are! Amen! Have a blessed day! But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish." *`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`* Focus On the Word Banner Exchange--Sign Up Today and Receive 2,500 Free Credits http://focusontheword.com/banex [NOTE: Today's Devotion is provided automatically to all subscribers of End-Times, End-Times_News, and FOW-Bible discussion lists as well as many others who have requested subscriptions.
