Greg's Fiction

These are some of the stories I have written over the years:

  1. "Eclipse" is short-short story – you might almost call it a "micro story" which, as far as I can remember, I have never made available in any form before.
  2. "The Foundlings" is an original story which I wrote in the spring of 1978, when I was in Grade 12, although I have revised it a bit since then. It is also available on the Christian Fandom site in the Stories page of the Science Fiction section.
  3. "Legacy" is a "fanfic" based on the works of Lois McMaster Bujold. I originally posted it to the LOIS-BUJOLD mailing list in August, 1998, and it is now preserved on The Bujold Nexus in the FanFic Archive. (Note: if you are into FanFic, I highly recommend "Project Goldfish", by Jeff Melcher.)
  4. "Little One" is another original story. I wrote it "live", posting each section, as I completed it, to the science fiction section of a BBS called CityLink, which has, sadly, long been defunct. I should probably say that this is a very nerve-wracking way to write, as I always felt that even a day's delay in the next section to be posted would be a disaster. And, since I tend to write stories as they come to me, rather than working from an outline, I had no idea how the story was going to end when I started it. (Well, actually, I had an idea in mind, but the story didn't turn out that way at all...) As far as I know, this story has not been available anywhere since CityLink closed down, but it is now available on the Stories page of the Science Fiction section of the Christian Fandom site.
  5. "The Man in the Trench Coat" is not, strictly speaking, "fanfic", but rather a fictional expression of the frustration which Bujold fans feel while waiting for her next book to come out. All of the characters (except the title character) are thinly-disguised list*es from the LOIS-BUJOLD mailing list, where I posted this story in May, 1999. It, too, is preserved on The Bujold Nexus FanFic Archive.
  6. "Marking Time" is another original story which I wrote in the mid-1980s. It is also available on the Christian Fandom site in the Stories page of the Science Fiction section.
  7. "Navigator" is another Bujold "fanfic" which I originally posted to the LOIS-BUJOLD mailing list in February, 1999. It too is preserved on The Bujold Nexus FanFic Archive.
