Greg the Writer

[Photo of Greg working on a computer]

My name is Greg, and I'm a writer. I love to play with words. A joking comment from somebody else is enough to prompt me to whip up a haiku, or a limerick, or a book review (sometimes, I even review books which don't actually exist), or an essay, or a short story. (I haven't actually written a novel yet, but give me time.)

The photo above shows me working studiously on the Life Center's E-mail. I spent 1996 to 1998 in Croatia and Bosnia, mostly at the Life Center, where I took care of their English correspondence, edited the newsletter, and designed the first version of the web site. (You might say I was a "hired keyboardslinger.") In fact, that Macintosh in the picture might even be the one I used to code the first graphical version of the CAMsoc web site. (It actually started out as a Gopher site, and it took me a while to learn to use graphics to liven things up.)

You won't find any books with name on them, but you can find my work if you know where to look. I'll make it easy for you:

  1. For a (nearly) complete list of my writings which have been committed to print, see my bibliography.
  2. To read my opinions on various topics, see my essays page.
  3. To read my short stories, see my fiction page.
  4. To read the information I have collected about using computers in ministry, explore the Computer Aided Ministry Society web sites.
  5. Or, for that matter, you can simply wander through the rest of this web site.
