Hi y'all. I am a year old with Dragon Raid and have been GMing RPGs for over
10 years. Only recently has my DR game started pickup (been kinda slow gaming
this year. Anyway I have recently incounted some errata in the game and I was
wondering what your input is.
#1) WordRunes #25-30 all have a diff Character strength MU awards then the
Character strength level limitation.
Example: #25 "Hopeful Trust WordRune" has min Ho of 4 to use but awards MU
to the JO character Strength. (Should not the MU points goto the HO?)
#2) They way a Character is raised up is all fine and dandy but how about
weapon proficincies? If you try and do it by Character strength then it will
take forever to become better with diff weapons. I have noticed that when you
raise a Character in Dr it is actually eaiser to advance then in other games.
Example: A level 1 Character (Sword of Spirit of 1) gets 2 MU from
a single WR (ie... SS+1 mu). So it will take a while to get to 20 to raise
your character. However a level 5 character who says a WR gets 6 MU
(SS+1)(ie... levl 5 character has a Sword Of Spirit of 5 then gets +1 MU for
saying the WR for a total of 6 MU. It is eaiser to get to 20MU this way and
advance quicker........which makes sence spiritually)
However would advancing in weapon use be reflected as spirtual growth? It
seems kinda diff to me.
I have come up with a solution I like for the weapon advancement though.
Although I will replace it if any of y'all have better ideas.
MY SOLUTION: I award a # of skill points after an adv. To raise a weapon
proficinacy a level cost the # of skill points you are raising it to x4.
EXAMPLE: to raise a crossbow from a level 3 to 4 costs 16 skill Points.
(from a 3-4 is next level 4 x4 = 16)
I look forward to your response players.
Your Bro. In Him,
Shaun†
