To jump off on this, I have experimented in my group with the new armor/encumbrance rules, and I have to say that it *does* encourage the players to rely on the armor more. They also tend to not play as "smartly," believing that since their bonus to their Shield of Faith is so high, they can pick a fight whenever they want. What I've done for the meantime, since we're playtesting County Faire, is not allow them to have the armor for this mission (it's hot enough already in the desert without being encased in metal). What might also help is throwing some of the newer, stronger dark creatures at the players. It would be a way to teach that no matter how much they arm themselves physically, they still need to be trusting in the OverLord for their protection. If they want to wear armor, fine.
