Not the point.  What I'm referring to here is inconsistency in the allegory. 
Why disallow physical armor (citing the armor of god) when you use physical
weapons (although the armor of god includes a weapon).  

I know what the use of the Sword of the Spirit is, and I think that the Shield
of Faith and other such things should be used for repelling spiritual attack,
not physical attacks.  Physical armor should be allowed in addition to weapons,
if for nothing else but to be consistent.
