That is what I get for working on this stuff too early in the morning. The text should read: Item Performance Adjustments* Poor -10% Average no adjustment Good +20% Fine +50% * These rules do not apply to weapons for To-Hit or Damage rolls in combat. Item Breakage* Poor breaks 20% of the time Average breaks 15% of the time Good 10% of the time Fine 5% of the time or less * These rules can also be applied to weapons used in combat, check for breakage when a successful hit is made. Check for breakage each time an item is used. The Adventure Master may want to increase the chance of breakage if the item is being misused or has not been maintained properly or is very delicate. Robust items may not break as easilty. Roll percentile dice, if the number is in the range for the item, the item breaks and must be repaired. Poor quality items are probably not worth repairing > This also suggests, for those who choose to observe these new > details, that > the players ought to be able to say where their weapons come from - > which, I > guess, brings up a problem with the idea. Actually, the AM says what is available at each location. > If they presumably got > their > standard three in the Liberated Land, what reason would they have > for buying > new ones in the Dragon Lands? Just a few reasons: theft loss breakage melted by dragon fire left at the inn in the last town etc. > And if they did, wouldn't that exceed > the > three-weapon limit? No. That applies to the weapon skills, not the number of weapons. A LightRaider could have more two of each weapon he has skill in. Thanks, Scott. Joe
