Read the Bible in a year by reading Ezekiel 22 and 23 today Yahweh God Is Still Here By Don Ruhl If you go to Crater Lake National Park in Klamath County, Oregon, and go to the visitor's center and watch the movie about the lake, you will learn the legend of how the lake was formed. Supposedly, the god of Mt. Mazama and the god of Mt. Shasta in Northern California, which is just south of Crater Lake, had a war. The god of Mt. Shasta won and the god of Mt. Mazama lost, resulting in the mountain blowing its top off, thus creating Crater Lake. The god of Mt. Shasta was...oh, I forget. The god of Mt. Mazama was...I forget again. I need to look that up. Why can't I remember those gods? Is it that I am getting old (if you think 48 is old!)? The truth is those gods are not around anymore, because they never were around. I lived in Klamath County for 21 years, but never heard of anyone actively worshiping them. Where is the God of the Bible? He is in heaven and His worshipers are beyond number. We know that He is God. Here is why. When Samaria and Jerusalem worshiped idols, God punished both cities severely. The gods they were worshiping were not able to stop the attacks of Assyria and Babylon, because the one true God brought those armies, destroying those cities and their idols. God said, "They shall repay you for your lewdness, and you shall pay for your idolatrous sins. Then you shall know that I am the Lord GOD" (Ez. 23:49). Start this day, knowing that the God you worship is the true and living God, and He gave His Son Jesus Christ to die for your sins that you might live forever in heaven.
