By Don Ruhl Jesus warned, "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea" (Mar 9.42). If it would be better to have a millstone hung around the neck and be thrown into the sea, then what is the worse punishment to which Jesus referred for causing someone to stumble? It must be awful. It is wise to think of our actions constantly, whether someone will be drawn closer to Christ or be driven away by our behavior.
