The 5 Am (Eastern) news indicated that Wilma has become a Category 3 Hurricane.

Winds of 55 miles per hour were recorded near Naples, Florida, though the eye of the storm is still miles out.  Storm surges of up to 16 feet are expected at Everglades City.  At landfall, the winds are expected be 125 mph.

As Fr Erich+ indicated last week, it appears the storm will pass over St. Mary the Virgin Church and St. Peter's Church.

Since landfall is expected to be South of Naples, the churches on the Gulf Coast appear not to be in danger.  

Pray God’s protection for our brothers during the next six hours.
