There are several aspects of this one that bothers me.
 There may be no cabal that is trying to dismember the
RC Church. However, a combination of extravagant
settlements, the piling on of suits of doubtful merit,
the incursion of the state, and the daily battering by
the media makes one wonder what Catholic insitutions
can survive.
