CAPTAIN HOOK

That's what the pundits called Sparky Anderson, coach of the Cincinnati Reds
in the days when that team knew how to play baseball. If necessary,
Anderson would change pitchers three times in an inning in order to win a
game. Captain Hook's style caught on in the major leagues. With frequent
use of bullpen, Sparky was the trendsetter for the rest of baseball.

Though Ari the Deny-er says otherwise, I suspect George the Second's verbal
spanking had a lot to do with the departure of Trent Lott. And did Henry
Kissing-finger leave because of advice from his clients or from White House
sources? I still think George the Second may turn
out to be the most successful populist president in history. George has
Captain Hook's instincts.

You have to have the right pitcher. GW is learning despite the adulation
the public gave Reagan, that Reganomics and encore appearances of the
Reagan-Bush administration just does
not cut it in the new millenium.

Yes, I know, Presidents don't determine who is Speaker of the House or
Senate Majority leader; or do they?
