Your father once remarked that I was an abstemious
puritan because I passed on an offering of a second
round.  The fact is, I learned early on how my my
mother's prayers were answered.  (I think she may have
been a founding member of the Women's Christian
Temperance Union.) 

It makes my hair hurt to think of a week of mornings
after the nights before.

Have happy birthdays, anniversaries, and New Years if
your body can stand it.  :)
