  Friends,

Would G-T also mean to say that asking any saint to pray for us is distrust and disobedience? Does this mean that asking my pastor or my wife to pray for me is disobedience and distrust? Of course not. Intercession is part of our responsibility.

As to Blessed Mary's (and the other saints in glory) omniscience, of course she and they are not. However, surely she and they no longer see through a glass darkly, their minds, intellects, and reason clouded by sin and death - but they see clearly and know fully, just as they are fully known. It is no mere speculation to assume that, in glory, the saints know us far more than we can know them, and that they have a far greater understanding of our plight, and pray for us and God's assistance for us (Rev. 6). (BTW, the Bible also says that the Angels also know us and pray for us, taking our prayers like insence to the Father.)

So, though one may prefer to go it alone, what harm is there in asking a fellow follower of Jesus Christ to pray?

And when we ask, do we not ask those who, by virtue of their faith and righteousnes, have demonstrated a closeness to God? I know I do. I go straight to my friends that I know are godly prayer-warriors. So...

Anyway. These are just a few of the arguements that keep arising and I'd like your help in considering them.
