When addressing different factions at Corinth, St. Paul did not opt for a "federation", but rather a single unified body in spite of diversity. His famous chapter on love speaks directly to the method in which such unity could be achieved. The fact that we could not achieve St. Paul's goal speaks volumes. I cannot but wonder what the blessed Apostle would have to say to us today. It is a sad day when a vocal minority rules over the decisions we make concerning a larger Body.
