Glad to know you're still around!!

So when I'm using the term "sanctification" but thinking about it in terms
of one being drawn further and further into the Trinity, then I'm using it
in the same sense as theosis. Would that be a fair statement?

Is there an ontological element to it? Maybe in the sense of homoiousios as
opposed to homoousios?

Thanks for your time. I know you're very busy these days.

Yes I am still here.

Basically the two are very similar in their content and what both terms are
seeking to convey and often the differences seem to me to relate to
emphasis. Theosis is of course the early patristic term that focuses on our
divinisation whereas our western term of sanctification is often a general
term signifying a making holy by setting apart. Theosis seems to emphasize
something much more than merely the moral. Theosis has a deeper significance

that relates to a fuller incorporation into Christ and focuses primarily on
that mystery that looks to the consummation and fullness of that
incorporation that has already begun and continues within us.

In a nutshell!

Is Jeffrey still subscribed to F/L? A couple of us have a question for him:
What is the difference between theosis and sanctification?
