Mark,
Holly and I will certainly keep your father in our prayers. I remember
him very well from many years back and pray for the best.
You may know that Holly is finishing her fourth year of Med School at
East Carolina University and plans to pursue a career in oncology. If
there is anything that she can do for you (answer any questions or
anything else), please let us know.
Peace,
Tom

Subject: [FaithandLife] Prayer Request
Please keep my father in your prayers. He went for testing yesterday to
figure out the source of his bone pain and anemia. They've now
determined that the cause is cancer, likely multiple myeloma, which
occurs in the bone marrow. Friday, the doctors will take a bone marrow
biopsy to determine absolutely if it is myeloma and how advanced it is.
Next week he'll go for a PET scan to see how widespread the cancer is.
Right now the doctors believe that it is moderately advanced (Type 2 out
of 3).
Thanks partly to the pain and the anemia, Dad's spirits are pretty low.
Sunday he had to stop celebrating 10 minutes into the Eucharist. It
looks like he'll be facing chemotherapy and other procedures down the
road. We should know a lot more on October 9th.
If you'd like to drop him an email, it is anthony.clavier@....
Thanks for your prayers.
Warmly,
Mark+
