But hilarious anyway.

You are warmly invited to join the British Orthodox
Fellowship,

an organisation whose aim is to allow British people
to discover how Orthodox Christian spirituality and
tradition can inform and transform their own Christian
pilgrimage.

http://www.britishorthodox.org/fellowship.php

The British Orthodox Fellowship has an ecumenical
membership drawn from a wide range of backgrounds
including Anglican, Methodist, Roman Catholic,
Evangelical and of course Orthodox.

It is often very difficult to explore the treasures of
Orthodox spirituality because the languages used by
Orthodox Christians in the UK can be a barrier,
services might be in Greek, Russian, or Arabic among
many others. The culture can also be that of the
various immigrant groups, and this can be a difficulty
for British people.

The British Orthodox Church is a mainstream Orthodox
Church, part of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate, one
of the oldest Churches in the world. But it is almost
unique in existing entirely to help British people
experience Orthodox Christianity for themselves
without ceasing to be British. The British Orthodox
Church has developed the British Orthodox Fellowship
as a dispersed ecumenical community of Christians who
are investigating the Orthodox faith and are open to
introducing elements of Orthodox spirituality into
their own life with Christ.

You do not need to be Orthodox to join the Fellowship.
You do not need to become Orthodox to have a valuable
part to play in our life together.

You can be a member on your own, or encourage friends
to join with you.

Every member receives

i. a Fellowship Handbook containing prayers, readings,
articles and other useful materials;
ii. two copies of our magazine each year;
iii. access to our private internet forum to meet with
other members
iv. advanced invitations to our annual residential
weekends and pilgrimages

Do please visit the Fellowship pages on our website
and consider if this ecumenical community is one that
you could support and benefit from being a member of.
