In terms of practice, then I can see women's ordination as possibly a
subtraction.  In other words, when a female priest celebrates the Eucharist
we are not assured that it is valid.

In terms of doctrine, I would say it is an addition.  The Episcopal Church
continues to hold (at least officially) the same Catholic doctrine regarding
the three-fold ministry as it did in 1975.  The novelty is the belief that
this can be conferred on women.

Therein lies the condundrum.
