For what it's worth: a note from one of my old text books on "Mariology"
points out wisely, "the honor of our Lady is not enhanced by untrue,
unprovable, and questionable asseverations, no matter how well-intentioned
the zeal of those who put them forth. She is so very great and holy that
there is no need of exaggerating the graces with which she was endowed."
During Lent we invited Msgr. Gallas from St. Benedicts to preach at a
Wednesday Evensong service. Before the service he asked what our reverence
was to Mary. I told him she was loved as the Mother of our Lord and highly
respected with reverence. He was thrilled after the service to see that
she is included in our Divine service of Evening Prayer.
New question, was she assumed with her body into Heaven? OR, was she in
fact buried beneath the waddled church in Glastonbury?????? Just a thought.

Based on this and all the other discussion of the Immaculate Conception,
Assumption, Queen of Heaven, etc., I think the comment of a friend of mine
about Mary (whose humility is astounding) is apropos: "Mary has to be the
most embarrassed woman in heaven!"
