I just finished William Johnston's book "The Wounded Stag" about Christian
mysticism. It isn't bad but somewhat syncretistic: Johnston is talks a lot
about Zen and Buddhism, etc. Not sure I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't
very discerning in things classically Christian.

I'm no authority on this and I haven't had a chance to sit down and chat
with some Rabbis over a plate of bacon and eggs....but my understanding is
that within 1st century Jewish culture there were no circumstances in which
it was morally acceptable for younger siblings to dress down an older
sibling. Then again, I don't think any of it really matters.
