Fr Wiebe+

Though I whimper about Radner's convoluted prose, I am
grateful for he, Benedict 16 and Karl Barth (another
master of paragraph long sentences and convoluted
thought). They force me to slow my reading and make
me think.

You wrote:"I sometimes think my Pomeranian ancestry is
the reason I used to do this somewhat in class to the
annoyance (albeit the attention) of the student body!"

Getting even weren't you Padre? I am amazed at the
patience of the poor professors and teachers who put
up with me and my peers.

Classmates in seminary urged me to study German. At
that time I was overwhelmed trying to make sense of 3
dead languages and couldn't face the challenge.
Probably a mistake.

Thank you and Knox Duncan for the discussion regarding
Gordon Brown.
